About


Chillion Sanerivi is highly experienced working with Pasifika communities. He is a Youth Ecosystem Strategist, Youth Development Specialist and Youth Innovation Practitioner. His work in social impact and social change is underpinned by Pacific and Maori indigenous knowledge and prevention systems which guides his understanding of health and wellbeing. This is supported with disciplines such as, Critical Thinking, Systems Thinking and Design Thinking. Chillion believes that Youth Development is a mana-enhancing profession and can be used to strengthen, support, encourage and compliment the different sectoral intersection of Climate Justice and Action, Education and Training, Health & Wellbeing, Sports and Recreation, Leadership, Civic Engagement and Participation. 

Chillion implemented a flagship initiative in 2015 with ten young people, and has since mobilised close to 300 young changemakers on social issues they are passionate about with a reach of over 5000 people. This includes youth-led climate action events. Chillion's strengths are in leadership, community engagement, climate action, community development (place-making), social innovation, event management, systems change, creative arts, faith-based, youth development and is an advocate for professional youth practice. 

With his amount of experience, he is able to motivate stakeholders and partners while also mobilising young people towards a common social good goal. He is strategic in his thinking and is detailed in the implementation. He is certified in Design Thinking and an Active Citizens (Global) programme facilitator connected to a global network of close to 300,000 members in 77 countries. 

Chillion holds a Certificate and Diploma in Christian Ministries, National Diploma in Youth Work, Bachelor of Youth Development and  Postgraduate Certificate in Leading Change for Good. He is currently completing his Master in Change and Organisational Resilience with academyEX.
